POWER WASH EDUCATION

POWER WASH EDUCATION

In this POWER WASH EDUCATION video post, you’ll from a student from SPAIN.  He flew 12 hours to learn and grow with our August 2023 hands on training event in Houston.  This is a monthly training opportunity that offers not only hands on training with equipment on the job site.  It also includes a day of classroom learning with QnA.  This is a different way of providing direct insight and information about what it’s like to be a part of my school.  Peter Harding first began his journey learning about this business through Doug Rucker’s YouTube channel.

EDUCATION ATTRACTION

There was one big attraction to Doug Rucker’s Pressure Washing School that attracting to him.  It was the idea that you could receive both training and equipment all under one roof through his school and his store.  The videos are easy to understand, and very clear.  It’s great because all of the training is directed toward those who are brand new to the industry.  Peter also enjoyed meeting and getting to know the group of guys that were also part of the August 2023 Power Wash Education school.

EQUIPMENT EDUCATION

The first day is all hands on equipment training and demonstrations.  Peter makes it clear this is invaluable because he has never even held this type of professional grade pressure washing business equipment.  He describes much of what taught as “nuggets of gold.”  The day went really quick, and for Peter, any more would have been too much to absorb.  He calls it “complete, full, and enjoyable.”  Soft washing and downstreaming with a dedicated pump is a big focus of this first day of hands on power wash education.

CLASSROOM EDUCATION

Day two takes place in the training center classroom.  The training modules include house washing, roof cleaning, concrete cleaning and property protection.  All of the training is also available to students through video access for continued reviewing and learning.  Doug will continue to be there for Peter once he is back in Spain to help him with continuing education.  Along with Peter, all of Doug’s students are encouraged to reach back out to him any time they have questions and might need additional assistance.  At 7:30 into the video, Peter also talks about how we work together to get the equipment he needs to start his business.  We are actually shipping his equipment to Spain!  Be sure and check out all the training opportunities you can take advantage of.  And remember for those who cannot make it out to Texas, we do have an online video school as well.

FAMILY BUSINESS RIG BUILD

FAMILY BUSINESS RIG BUILD

If you need a family business rig build, you’ve come to the right place!  In this video, a mother and father work together with their boys on a homeschool project.  In this particular case, the project is to start a business.  So this family brought a very basic 10 foot trailer to us.  We we’re able to provide them with a starter set up with the very minimum equipment needed to start a power wash business.  If you would like to start a family business, maybe this family business rig build would fit your family as well.

PRESSURE WASHER

This Family Business Rig Build starts with a 5.5 Gallon Per Minute pressure washer.  It is a gear drive machine that delivers 3000 PSI with an option to choose between pull start or electric start.  They chose electric start.  Feeding the pressure washer machine is an 80 gallon water tank.  You can choose various size tanks that range from 16 gallons to 225 gallons.  The tank also has a job float valve which automatically shuts the water off once the tank is full.  Then they have two Kings hose reels with a stack kit.  The top reel has a garden hose while the bottom reel has 200 feet of fierce jet pressure hose.  This hose also has the ball valve set up.  You will also notice the downstream bypass injector.  They will downstream out of a bucket.

SURFACE CLEANER

The FAMILY BUSINESS RIG BUILD also has a 20 inch Whirl-A-Way surface cleaner for driveways and sidewalks.  While they chose the floater option, you could also get it with casters instead.  They have our pressure wash gun assembly along with the jrod nozzle kit.  And they have a couple of extension wands.  This set up has room to add equipment as their business grows and they expand services.  Eventually, they’ll have a soft wash system for roof cleaning with another hose and another tank.  At approximately 4:00 into the video, take note of why it’s important to utilize a dual axle trailer for all power wash rig builds.  Again, this is a great little starter basic set up if you’re looking for a family business rig build.  Aside from the trailer cost itself, the equipment cost for this rig build is in the $8000 general ball park price range.  If you have any questions or if we can help in any way, send an email to Info@DougRuckerStore.com.  Also, don’t forget to check out my online video school that will drastically cut your learning curve.

Stucco Cleaning Houston

Cleaning Stucco Houston

Our crews are often out Cleaning Stucco Houston style using our low pressure soft washing method.  This method is something we spend a lot of time on here at the school when you attend.  When starting a pressure washing business, it is important that you learn how to clean stucco correctly so that you do not damage the surface. Stucco comes in a wide variety of types. EIFS and Dryvit are two of the most commonly known types.  When cleaning stucco it’s important to know the differences and whats required in cleaning them.

Traditional stucco is a basically a concrete block wall with stucco concrete mix troweled on, often times in different and elaborate designs.  Traditional stucco is also known as a hard coat stucco and dryvit is known as soft coat.  You can tell the difference by knocking on them as you would someones door.  Hard Coat Stucco will be solid and have a thud or hard sound to it. EIFS, or Dryvit, will sound hollow.  This is because behind the stucco finish in EIFS is a styrofoam sheet for insulation.  EIFS stand for exterior insulating finish system.

Pressure Washing School Houston Texas

Always treat EIFS and Dryvit very delicately and do not use high pressure on it.  I always suggest soft washing it either using a dedicated pump or by down streaming using your pressure washer.  Follow that up with a nice cold water rinse.

Cleaning Stucco Houston

The picture in this article is from a recent Cleaning Stucco Houston that our Houston Pressure Washing Company, Clean and Green Solutions, did for a customer.  The customer had actually thought he may have to replace the stucco, but was so delighted that our cleaning proved he did not need too.

If you are looking to start a pressure washing and or roof cleaning company, please consider attending one of our Pressure Washing Schools here in Houston Tx or we also have an Online Pressure Washing School you can attend, complete with test’s after each section.
