KINGSLINGER UPDATES 2023

KINGSLINGER UPDATES 2023

This KINGSLINGER UPDATES 2023 post reflects changes on both the compressor and our system since my last updates video.  In this video, one of my students is picking up his Kingslinger Soft Wash System.  Victor is actually our first Spanish Speaking school student that we provided translation for.  The Kingslinger along with two tanks and a hose reel will be set up on the back of his pickup truck.  His desire is for the system to be portable, meaning he can move it in and out of his truck as necessary.  Be sure and watch the entire KINGSLINGER UPDATES 2023 video and then leave a comment with any questions you may have.

COMPRESSOR UPDATES

Right off the bat, the compressor handles on the newer compressor model are not as high as on previous models.  This allows us to attach the Kingslinger Soft Wash System directly onto those handles.  The placement of the Kingslinger is a little bit higher making it easier to get to.  These are minor changes and it is still fairly simple to assemble and install.  At 5:30 you will note details of gallons per minute and distance or reach.  I have been able to clean 2-3 story buildings with this exact system many, many times!  Another great feature of this system contributing to portability are the banjo fittings.  The tanks he will use are the low profile, slim line 55 gallon tanks for water and for bleach.  We use uniseals without bulk heads to tighten up that connection into each tank.

SOFT WASH HOSE

This KINGSLINGER UPDATES 2023 set up includes 250 of flexilla soft wash hose with soft wash ball valve gun and JROD nozzles.  He also have a couple of adjustable cone nozzles.  These are great for cleaning around delicate landscape areas where you really need to control your bleach output.  This has a nice range from straight stream to a fine mist.  It’s extremely handy and helps save you alot of money by reducing bleach waste.  At the 14:00 time stamp, I explain how to use a supplemental tank hose with a 5 gallon bucket and making use of the third valve.  It allows you to mix soaps and surfactants like our RAP for oxidation stripes from gutters and things of that nature.

SOFT WASH SETUP

SOFT WASH SETUP

This SOFT WASH SETUP video post features what we call “The Big Slinger.”  While it’s very similar to the Kingslinger Soft Wash System, a customer requested this version.  His desire was to have a little more flow and distance than the Kingslinger.  So the Big Slinger has 3/4 valves and 5/8 hose.  While we provide custom builds around customer needs, this particular SOFT WASH SETP has two valves.  One valve connects to the water tank, while the other connects to the bleach tank.

MIXING INSTRUCTIONS

At approximately 1:50 into this video, I provide details for mixing cleaning solutions with bleach.  This eliminates any need for a third valve and separate tank.  Be sure and following the instructions on the lable of the cleaner you are using for proper mixing ratios.  As an example, if you are using our Dougie Fresh, you would add one to two ounces per five gallons of bleach.  Recently, we have been elevating the valves up higher for easier and more convenient reach and access.  The Big Slinger Soft Wash Setup comes with the Tsunami air water separator.

ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT

In this video, I walk you through the details of the hoses, reels, and tanks.  All of the Big Slinger SOFT WASH SETUP is firmly secured on an aluminum skid.  The water tank has a float valve which shuts the water off automatically once the tank is full.  And the bleach tank has a vent hose.  You will also notice the bleach fill kit so that you don’t ever have to open the lid.  This will help protect your equipment from deterioration resulting from bleach fumes settling on it.  At 6:20, you can see in the video how we handle shipping these large skids anywhere across the country.  If you have any questions about this Big Slinger Soft Wash Setup, ask in the comments section.  Or you can shoot me an email to Info@DougRuckerStore.com.  Be sure and stay up to date with all the training opportunities coming up for the remainder of this year.

KINGSLINGER DRAIN KIT

KINGSLINGER DRAIN KIT

This KINGSLINGER DRAIN KIT video post contains instructions in detail for installation.  The Kingslinger Soft Wash System is ideal for metering your bleach, water and soap mix.  In this video, extensive instructions are provided by my build partner Edwin who has a shop next to mine.  Ed is with High Performance Lubricants and assists with all of my builds and other manufacturing and fabrication tasks.  There’s no better person to walk us through installing the KINGSLINGER DRAIN KIT than Ed!

COMPRESSOR DRAIN PLUGS

The compressor comes with two barrel drain plugs already installed on each barrel.  It’s best to install the KINGSLINGER DRAIN KIT on a new compressor with no oil inside so that the unit can easily turn on its side for installation of the drain kit.  The very first step is to remove those drain plugs with a crescent wrench or 9/16 wrench.  You want the drain valve side to be on the same side as the regulator side or the side with mixing GF mixing valves.  This side is also the same side as the compressor regulator.  Ed shows in detail how to loosen fittings and then how to prepare them to ensure they are good and tight.  A 5/16 wrench will also be in use for this step.  Pay close attention to getting them snug but also making sure they are pointing in the right direction.

DRAIN KIT LONG PIECE

It’s important to note there is a long piece and a short piece in the drain kit.  The short piece will go on the same side as the mixing valves and compressor regulator.  This is how the KINGSLINGER DRAIN KIT valve itself ends up on the right side.  The last step before tightening all the fittings is to make sure the entire unit is in place properly on your truck, trailer, or van.  You want to ensure the valve has ample space to move.  Do not overtighten but make sure it’s good and snug.  If you are new to this business, here is another post you might be interested in.  It’s a piece I call Pressure Washing VS Soft Washing.

M5 TWIST WITH KINGSLINGER

M5 TWIST WITH KINGSLINGER

Thank you for checking out this M5 TWIST WITH KINGSLINGER video post.  Recently, a customer made a purchase of an M5 TWIST nozzle from the Doug Rucker Store.  His intention is to use it with the Kingslinger soft wash system.  He has a 10 gallon per minute unit and I was reluctant about these two items working well together.  Later that day, he sent me a video exclaiming how great this one two punch combination is.

NO SWITCHING NOZZLES with M5

The advantage of M5 Twist with Kingslinger is not having to switch back and forth between a shooter tip and a fan spray.  In this video, I provide a demonstration of the distance you can get with this combination.  In fact, there are three different nozzle sizes to choose from based on the gallon per minute machine you’re using.  I want to thank Tommy Fischer from the Katy, Texas area for pointing this out so that other professionals might also benefit from this insight.  Keep in mind that wind is an important variable that has an affect on the distance you can get on a job site.

M5 TWIST PLANT PROTECTION

We use the M5 Twist with Kingslinger often also for plant protection.  You can get a nice wide fan pattern which is ideal when spraying plants with 100% water to protect them from exposure to the mix.  Be sure and take advantage of all the training opportunities I provide.  I have an online video school with over 275 videos.  You’ll also find some great industry standard information on my YouTube channel.  And I host monthly two day training events in Houston.  This includes on the job training using equipment you may not own yet.  And it also includes excellent classroom training and instruction.  Be sure and leave us a comment if you have any questions we might be able to assist with.
